Flights:
Flights from UK to Limoges Airport:
Flights with Ryanair from Manchester, Leeds Bradford, East Midlands and London Gatwick and Stansted.
Flights with BA started in 2017 and there are connections with Flybe.
Car Hire at the Airport is easy/convenient and the road from the airport is on quiet roads (dual carriageways and non toll roads).
We sometimes drive via La Gueret or via Aigurande for a change of scenery. Both are pleasant /quiet drives.
Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport is “do-able” in 3 .5 hours – but be aware that Paris ring road can be a difficult drive.
Train:
The Eurostar and then SNCF to Chateauroux Station. Car Hire at Chateauroux railway station is convenient.
Ferries:
Caen is the nearest ferry (4 hours drive)
The other channel ports are about 6 hours drive and travelling via Chatres (not La Chatre but Chatres) means avoiding the Paris ring road systems.
Zeebrugge (from Hull) is about 7 hour drive.
The house is in Central France (south Loire valley) and is a convenient stop off on the journey to the south of France)
