The Side Terrace is found in the ruins of the old farmhouse, left when the house was rennovated. In the summer it is the place where the last ray of sunshine can be found.
It’s reached by a gravel path roung the side of the house. The remains of the old Bread Oven is a feature half way up the wall. We’ve made two flower beds and filled with roses, rosemary, lavender and thyme. Scrambling over the ruins are scented honeysuckle (belgica), jasmine and a vine. It’s early days but it has the making of a scented haven to sit and read.
