Prieuré Notre-Dame d’Orsan – 18170 Maisonnais
These gardens were visted by Monty Don when visiting special gardens in France.
The gardens are in the grounds of an ancient Priory and have been lovingly developed. The Website gives you all the background and the story of the gardens. There is even a link to watch the Monty Don programme on the website.
What we have found is the changes over the year – especially in the climbing rose garden and herb garden. The Clary Sage almost grow wild in the gravel and are an amazing and fragrant sight.
The garden is less than 30 minutes from our house and we plan to visit often and see the garden throughout the year.
There is rather a nice shady place to sit and have a cool drink too.
